We arrived without reservations and had a lovely meal in the back room of the restaurant. We had a wonderful time and drank a delicious rose. The appetizers were delicious, and our fish dinners were excellent. They brought us a complimentary drink after dinner. We highly recommend it.
Food, service and ambiance was excellent. We were given octopuse on bread as a free treat and when we paid the bill they offered us each a glass of port wine as a gift. I had steak with mushroom sauce. The fried potatoes had bacon and cheese on them & were so delicious. The hot vegetables were extraordinarily good. Dessert was a donut with ice cream and whipped cream. It wasn’t the typical North American soft donut but more like a solid piece of chocolate cake – also delicious. We made a last minute booking for the New Year’s Eve dinner and we’re lucky to get a table after a cancellation. We were extremely pleased with the Menu and the standard of food. The owners were very welcoming and the waiting staff friendly and efficient. There was live music which was extremely good and added to the atmosphere. We didn’t have chance to revisit for the normal menu but are sure it would be every bit as good!
